Class of 1984: a gang of punkrockers terrorize a school and a teacher goes all Chuck Norris on them. Has the best “teacher going postal” scene ever, with the funniest, softest spoken little teacher pulling a gun on them saying “you must LEARN! I’m… I’m TEACHING!”

Last House on the Left: Wes Craven’s first and most disturbing movie… a group of hippies rape and murder two girls after systematic abuse and get hunted by their parents. VERY gut churning violence and bleak human condition

Blue Velvet: she mentions it above, this one rocks. David Lynch’s best in showing crazy messed up people at work. Dennis Hopper’s creepiest role ever.

Grindhouse: The first half Planet Terror was very sweet. Zombie slaying, amputatee chicks with rifles for legs, Sayeed running around cutting off people’s balls, etc. a must see. The 2nd half, Deathproof kind of sucked.

The Network: one of those Anthemic anti-establishment films which bashes the corporate news networks. One news anchor just snaps one day and rants about the injustice in the world and winds up being a media sensation, so the corporations pay him to bash him. Very good monologues the way clockwork orange had too, today’s cinema is all just flash and one-liners in comparison.

Omega Man: Charleton Heston runs around a post-apocalyptic world filled with mutants. Nice 70s cinematic style

A Boy and His Dog: A disturbing tale about a post-nuclear world filled with mutants and scavengers. The hero has a telepathic dog with a higher intelligence than he does, and they wind up finding a utopia filled with post apocalyptic republicans, thought police and clown-bots. a MUST SEE!!

Performance, it was filmed in some grimy British town and has the whole gangster feel but also is very…”swinging 60’s” its amazing, seriously watch it!the beginning is a little slow and weird but its worth it.and plus it has freakin Mick Jagger!!!whats better than that???
